Lana & Tardi Space Adventures Press Release - October 1st, 2020
Sparking kids’ love for outer space and science!

Have you ever wondered what’s out there in the stars? Did you ever dream of exploring other planets? The PLANETS Foundation invites kids and adults alike on a fun space adventure in their new children’s picture book, “Lana and Tardi Space Adventures.”

The PLANETS team’s new Kickstarter campaign aspires to start kids early in their interest for science and space exploration, as well as sparking their curiosity for alien life. “Lana and Tardi Space Adventures” is a dazzling picture book that will introduce young kids (aged 7 and up) to outer space and the strange and wonderful worlds out there. Children will be swept away by this story which features full page color illustrations and quirky rhymes.

“Lana and Tardi Space Adventures” is the story of Lana, a genius girl from Earth, who flies through outer space in search for alien life. Tardi is an alien creature whom Lana picks up on her journey through space after his planet blows up due to a nearby exploding star.

The PLANETS Foundation’s goal is to galvanize young people to start exploring the universe through science and research dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial life. To this end, The Foundation is developing cutting-edge technology like the ExoLife Finder Telescope (ELF for short), which will be able to create surface maps of nearby exoplanets and detect life—a revolutionary breakthrough in space exploration.

As part of the Kickstarter campaign, the Foundation is hosting a series of events called Lana & Tardi's AstroFest to promote women in science, education and research, featuring discussions about space with prominent scientists, Q&A’s, and telescope tours.
